We are pleased to announce that Synergy SKY has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems (ISMS). This certification shows that we take information security and risk seriously both for our customers and ourselves.
Working in the information technologies industry, Synergy SKY always aims for the highest security standards in its products and company culture. To demonstrate this commitment to collectively taking information security seriously, the company was assessed by an independent leading Certification Body, DNV, and achieved the ISO Management System Certificate certificate.
"This certification allows us to offer our customers peace of mind that we have the best control to identify and reduce any risk to confidential information" says Mark Dumas, COO, Synergy SKY.
What is the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard?
ISO defines it as "the world's best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS) and their requirements". "[It] specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization."
How do such standards in information security benefit all?
Complying with the ISO standards ensures many things for the parties involved. Among other things, it demonstrates that Synergy SKY:
Has taken organization-wide precautions to protect sensitive information in all forms against unauthorized access and processing.
Meets the high standards of risk management and security control continuously against security threats.
Assures that all relevant networks are protected against any systemic vulnerabilities, so integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data are protected.
Please do not hesitate to contact Mark Dumas if you have questions regarding the Synergy SKY ISO certification or other information security-related matters.
